The install of GlobeWeather in Joomla! 1.6 may take a while.
The install may even be aborted if you use the Joomla! 16 FTP layer. The problem has not been reported with J15. We haven't heard yet that the problem exists with J17 or J25.

If you disable the Joomla! 16 FTP layer, the install may proceed without problems. Make sure you set write permissions for the appropriate directories.

If this doesn't help, an upload file size limit may exist (may be as low as 2M). If so, you may need to contact your ISP to increase this limit.

As a temporary alternative, you can do the following:

- Unzip the install package into a temporary folder on your computer.
- Upload (FTP) ALL FILES into the Joomla! temporary install directory /tmp.
- Install the module from this directory in the Extension Manager.
- When the installation is complete, you may remove the files from the temporary directory.
